John Fitzgerald

President, Financial Advisor

As president and lead financial advisor of Fitzgerald Financial Group, John provides individuals with a range of comprehensive financial guidance for investment, retirement, and estate planning, as well as other wealth management needs. 

He started Fitzgerald Financial Group in 2017 with the goal of offering a local, independently owned alternative to large, traditional brokerage firms. John enjoys getting to know his clients, their lifestyles, desires, and goals for the future. He takes the time to try to understand the concerns of his clients and focuses on a personal and customized approach for each and every family with whom he works. 

John earned his BS in finance from Northern Michigan University. He spent 10 years as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley before deciding to start his own firm.

John and his wife, Dana, are residents of Mullica Hill, New Jersey. They have one daughter, Mia, who is the pride and joy of John and Dana's lives. John has served on many local nonprofit boards. He currently serves as treasurer for Brookside at Harrison Homeowner's Association Board in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. John served as a board trustee of the Complete Care Family Health Foundation. He also previously served as treasurer for the Vineland Police Athletic League for more than eight years, and he was past president of the Gloucester County Special Services Education Foundation. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, Philadelphia sports, summers in Ocean City and North Wildwood, and discovering new restaurants. His best days are spending time with his family.

Larry Birch

Wealth Management Assistant

Larry graduated from Rowan University in 2021 with a BS in finance. He joined in 2019 as a financial intern and continues his career with our team as a full-time wealth management assistant. Larry assists our team in maintaining strong client relationships, preparing wealth management proposals and financial plans, and doing extensive investment research. He holds the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative Qualification Examination) securities registration and is now continuing his goal to become a financial advisor in the coming years.

Larry resides in Mays Landing, New Jersey. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, and being with his family and friends. He volunteers as a firefighter with the Mays Landing (NJ) Fire Department and New Jersey Forest Fire Service, where he joins his father and brother. Larry is an avid New York Mets fan.  

Gary Bolno

Director of Insurance

For the past 38 years, Gary's passion has been helping his clients find insurance protection plans that are beneficial and ultimately help them to feel secure and protected.

Gary was born and raised in Philadelphia, where he met his future wife, Phylis, during his senior year at George Washington High School. He is forever grateful to Mr. Vassallo for sitting them next to each other in English. He moved to Bucks County right after graduating from Penn State University and lived there until 1997, when he moved to Scottsdale, Arizona.

He grew up in a family restaurant business and went into restaurant management after graduating from Penn State. After a few short years, Gary wanted to have more of an impact on people and set out to research a new career direction. 

He can remember an insurance agent meeting with his parents one evening. Gary listened to his “pitch” and could tell he wasn’t trying to understand their needs, but rather trying to make a sale. It occurred to Gary then that if you are going to sell insurance products, you had better be in it for the good of the client. Insurance protection can literally make or break a family and impact their financial survival and needs.  

Gary is a diehard Nittany Lion fan, never misses a football TV game, and has attended many bowl games over the years.

Tatyana Shevchuk

Administrative Assistant

Tatyana joined our team as our administrative assistant. She comes from a background in real estate since 2016, as a licensed realtor and mortgage loan originator. She joined Fitzgerald Financial Group to bring her industry knowledge to the group and help with our client experience.

Tatyana enjoys being involved in the community and is very active in her church's activities and events. In her spare time, she can be found crocheting in the evenings or out enjoying live music. Tatyana loves traveling, especially by car, while visiting her two children or seeing new places.  

Maria Grant

Administrative Assistant

Maria has been working in the investment industry since April 1979 when she was hired at Dean Witter Reynolds, which eventually became Morgan Stanley. Maria retired from her full-time position in early 2019. She joined Fitzgerald Financial Group to bring her industry knowledge to the team and help with our client experience.

Maria enjoys traveling. Some of her travel destinations include Europe, Russia, and Vietnam. She especially enjoys long car trips as she’s driven across the country three times! Maria has two children, two beloved grandchildren, and two cats. She loves reading mysteries and historical novels.

Dawn Repice

Administrative Assistant

Dawn grew up in Buena Vista, New Jersey. Since meeting her husband, she has been a longtime resident of Vineland, New Jersey. She and her husband have a blended family of three daughters and one son, all of whom have graduated from Stockton University (New Jersey) and have embarked on their careers of choice. Dawn has 20 years of customer service experience. She worked as the customer service/front office manager at the local Toys R Us for more than 16 years. 

Dawn and her husband, Anthony, make homemade pasta and meatballs every Sunday for dinner. It is the highlight of her week. Dawn loves spending time outdoors walking, biking, hiking, and kayaking. She also loves traveling as Florida is a favorite destination. 

Virginia Jankowsky

Marketing Coordinator

Virginia graduated from Rowan University with her bachelor’s degree in mathematics. After teaching for a few years, Virginia found herself a new path into the financial world. She joins our team as a marketing coordinator to assist with the preparation of business growth and development, as well as event planning, client relationship building, and networking.

She resides in Gloucester City and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and puppy.

Jenna Biagi

Client Relationship Manager

It is with our deepest sorrow to inform you of the sudden passing of our beloved friend and colleague, Jenna Biagi, in 2019. Jenna was a wife and mother of three. She graduated from Vineland (New Jersey) High School in 2002. She was employed in the banking and finance industry since 2002 and had been working with John Fitzgerald since 2014.

Jenna was an extraordinary person who was highly regarded by so many. She always gave our clients 100 percent and focused on top-level personal service. Jenna's passing is truly a great loss to Fitzgerald Financial Group and our community as a whole. We feel fortunate for the opportunity that we've had to know Jenna. We will always remember Jenna. The link below will send you to her obituary.
